Bluetooth sensor hub for Apple TV

One Bluetooth connection to Apple TV for all your sensors, for Zwift and Rouvy.

The problem

On Apple TV, every sensor you use in Zwift or Rouvy needs its own Bluetooth connection: heart-rate strap, cadence sensor, speed sensor. With several sensors this can mean dropouts, re-pairing before each ride, or a sensor that simply doesn’t show up.

What Homewind does

You pair your sensors once with Homewind. Homewind keeps those connections and passes the data on to Apple TV through one Bluetooth connection. In Zwift or Rouvy you only pair Homewind.

  • Supported data: heart rate, speed and cadence from Bluetooth Low Energy sensors. Power meters are not relayed; pair them directly in Zwift or Rouvy.
  • No app: there is no companion app on the phone or Apple TV.
  • Automatic reconnect: sensors are saved and reconnect at the start of every ride.
  • Same box, same job: the board that bundles your sensors also controls your Xiaomi fan by heart rate.

Setup in short

  1. Install the Homewind firmware on an ESP32-S3 board with one click in the browser.
  2. Open the Homewind settings page and add your sensors under Setup Sensors.
  3. In Zwift or Rouvy on Apple TV, pair the Homewind device for heart rate, cadence and speed.

The full walk-through is in the setup guide.

Limits

  • ANT+ sensors are not supported, Bluetooth only.
  • Homewind passes on sensor data. It does not control smart trainers.
  • Fan control needs a supported Xiaomi Smart Fan.
